About Us

You didn’t come this far to stop

Ladis Horvath's first band as a guitarist was formed in Czechoslovakia. Later, in Germany, where he currently resides, he gained extensive experience playing different genres with other musicians. He also played in Contrabando, a rumba and flamenco band with which he collaborated successfully for several years. He sings and plays guitar.

Abel Peñalba was born and raised in Argentina. He currently resides in Germany. He is a photographer, musician, and filmmaker. As a musician, he has also played in various bands over the years. He also participated in Contrabando, where he met Ladis. He sings and plays keyboards and drums.

With two very different musical backgrounds, they found in each other the ideal partner to enrich their own compositions and decided to form Abis & the Angry Key, a space where different styles merge, blurring musical boundaries, although the South American rhythms and cadences are still evident.
